Dual-band Benefits

Dual-band GNSS modules have the capability to receive two different GNSS signals at different frequencies from satellites. This modulation of L5/E5a GNSS signals combined with L1/E1 C/A signals, enables multiband receivers to achieve improved accuracy and better multipath rejection, and provides better interference immunity than just L1/B1/E1. These refinements offer vastly improved performance, enabling highly accurate positioning, even in dense urban canyons.

Full Coverage Positioning - Dead Reckoning

Dead Reckoning or DR is the process of estimating current position based on a previously determined position and advancing that position over time using estimated heading and speed. The advantage of DR is that it helps maintain accurate positioning in GNSS denied or compromised areas, for example in parking garages, tunnels, and urban canyons.

Precise Point Positioning (PPP)

Real time PPP combines precise satellite positions and satellite clocks with a dual-band GNSS receiver to provide positioning that is accurate to 1cm or even less. The precise orbits and clocks are calculated from a global network or reference stations and since therefore many reference stations watch the same satellite, PPP offers a highly robust and accurate positioning solution.

Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) Positioning

RTK offers 1cm positioning accuracy in real time. The GNSS receiver picks up the normal signals from the satellites, and the RTK receiver takes in a correction stream and calculates position with 1cm accuracy in real time.
